Research tells us that 70% of change initiatives fail due to user resistance and reluctance. Managing project deadlines, critical paths, and deliverables is one set of skills, but getting people to embrace change and work in new ways requires empathy and a flexible strategy.

"Agile" is a term that- while used frequently - means different things to different people. Agile change management rolls change out in small but frequent iterations. In a time when uncertainty is the only norm, Agile change is a fantastic strategy because it doesn’t require that the entire change be mapped out from the beginning. It involves building excitement about the change, creating a roadmap to improve understanding, and engaging those impacted by the change as key stakeholders in the planning and testing throughout the change initiative.

After completing this 90 minute webinar, participants will:

  • Have a foundational understanding of how Agile change works.
  • Understand the benefits of using an Agile roadmap to communicate change
  • Understand the importance of empathy when trying to persuade others to adopt a new way of working
  • Have new tools and strategies that can be applied immediately

This course is for anyone responsible for leading others through change. Agile is a framework that was first coined in IT, but this approach can be applied in any industry.

About Our Speaker:

Estie Briggs

Estie Briggs is an experienced EQ(tm) coach and change management consultant with a strong track record of developing individuals, teams, and organizations.  Estie has coached leaders at all levels of the organization to develop their emotional intelligence and empower them to lead effective and sustainable change.

Estie has worked with clients in a range of industries including software development, mortgage, and financial services.  Prior to transitioning to coaching and change management consulting, Estie designed and facilitated leadership development workshops on topics including values based leadership, goal setting, and effective communication.

In 2015, Estie returned to school to obtain her bachelor's degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies.  She then went on to obtain her masters degree in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco.

Estie is a Bay Area native, an aspiring homesteader with 15 pet chickens, and a slow but steady runner.  Estie's two most closely held values are time and curiosity.
