The COVID-19 initiated shift toward working from home has uncovered many seams in today’s teams. The need is greater than ever for workplace groups to grow into high-performing teams, and this program will equip managers and leaders with immediately actionable steps that move their teams in that direction.

The program will be interactive. Managers, Supervisors, and Business Owners are encouraged to attend.

“A leader is not the one with the most followers. A leader is the one who creates the most leaders.”

Top corporations and organizations are increasingly appreciating coaching skills amongst their leadership. While this experience itself doesn’t make one an “accredited coach,” it equips you to deliver effective coaching conversations with the people you lead.

Coaching can be defined as helping an individual develop his or her ability to solve his or her own problems through the realization that he or she already possesses the answer. One of the greatest benefits to coaching is that, even if the employee develops what may not be the “best” answer through a coaching session, the process of thinking through coaching questions helps the employee become more self-sufficient. This is why coaching is a foundational practice of High Performing Teams.

Those who attend this session will learn simple coaching strategies they can immediately bring back to their organizations. They will also learn what to look for in implementing a more formal coaching program, as the field of coaching is unregulated and has attracted a large amount of coaches with little training who confuse coaching with mentoring, training, consulting, or even counseling behaviors.

Our speaker:

Janine “JJ” Conway was the first African American physicist in the Air Force, where she served for over 23 years. After returning from a 6-month TDY to discover her house sold, divorce papers, and over $845,000 debt to her name. JJ now teaches others the same personal growth and financial management skills that allowed her to dump that debt and begin building wealth. JJ also empowers individuals to uplevel their businesses with financial, leadership, and diversity education.
