Representatives from the region Employment Development Department and the Workforce Development Board will be on hand at the June 25th Seminar to talk about:

  1. Trending services during this pandemic
  2. Support services to Employers from the EDD – Claims, Taxes, Hiring
  3. Employer services coming from the Workforce Development Board - HR Hotline, talent development, and more.
  4. What questions do you want answered by the EDD and WDB – please email your questions by June 5th, to  (Questions not received by June 5th may be answered separately after the Seminar).

Our speakers include:

Patience Odofu

Patience staffs the Business and Economic Development Committee and supports business and economic development activities. Her priority work at this time is helping businesses and the community with access to resources during COVID-19.  Patience also worked for Alameda County and the City of San Jose Workforce Boards in Business Services. She is a Realtor and has worked for top new home builders in the Bay Area since 2002.

Patience is very active in the community. She is a member of the City of San Ramon Economic Development Committee, Board Member with Concord Chamber of Commerce, was an Executive Board Member with San Ramon Chamber of Commerce, where she chaired the Workforce and Economic Development Workgroup. She is a member of the California Association for Local and Economic Development (CALED), East Bay Leadership Council’s (EBLC), Business Task Force and East Bay Economic Development Alliance (EBEDA) Directors Council.

Patience has a BS in Mass Communication and a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from California State University – East Bay. She is a graduate of the California Workforce Association Executive Boot Camp. CALED Keys to Economic Development Certificate Program and in Leadership Contra Costa Program.

Loretta Bisio

Employment Development Department – Workforce Services Branch.

Loretta leads a team of staff to offer the many EDD Workforce Programs in our America’s Job Center of California, to name a few: the Business Services Program for employers that include Work Opportunity Tax Credits, the Bonding Program, CalJOBS labor exchange, and of course staff support for the Employer Advisory Council.

In addition she oversees the Veteran Program, the Experience Unlimited Job Club for Professionals, and more, and is proud to work with our community partners such as the CCWORKS and Senior Program and many more partner agencies that have the same common goal/interest:  To enhance employer business & hiring needs and the employability of our job seekers in our communities by offering a MENU of services from all our Workforce Partners!


    The CCCEAC is your connection to information about employment and workforce development. The CCCEAC has been in partnership with the State of California Employment Development Department (EDD) since 1980. 

    501c6 non-profit organization 

    • Provides to all employers, low-cost, timely seminars on topics such as employment law, workforce development, human resource practices, and professional development. 
    • Works with the EDD to promote regulations, policies, and procedures that are business friendly. 
    • Provides connections between employers, other EACs, and the EDD at the local and state level. 
    • Partners with the Workforce Development Board on hiring talent, and leveraging resources. 
    • Notifies employers about pending legislation that may impact them. 
    • Provides employer representation on state-level panels, boards, and advisory groups.
